 "Build Yourself A Guitar Amp"

Right, so this is actually a lot easier than you might imagine. Obviously if you have never done anything like this before, it's unlikely that you are gonna be able to build yourself a 'Marshall Plexi' on your fist attempt without ending up with something that looks like it was found in skip or that doesn't blow your arm off the first time you turn it on. You can however build yourself an amazing sounding little practice amp in less than an hour with just one IC chip and 2 capacitors that will run off a 9v battery and will drive a 4 x 12 cab. So if that sounds appealing ... step this way.

  1. The Smokey - An introduction to the LM386 chip ...  the DIY amp builders gateway drug
  2. The Power amp Box -
  3. Breadboard - Tweaking and testing made easy
  4. Ruby/Noisy criccket
  5. mylk386

Add a front light unit to your GameBoy Colour (from a GameBoy Advance SP) in a way that doesn't make you want to tear your eyes out and throw it against the wall every time you click the power switch ... maybe. This is not an easy mod to do, but it is the most authentic way to have a lit screen on your old Gameboy.
